While Hijikata isn't as likely to call anyone out on being an anime character as other members of the Gintama cast, he does live in a world that shares most of our media. He'd been amply exposed to it, and in line with the show's humor, will sometimes reference modern pop culture.

The form below is for any and all CR to fill out to tell me any limits on fourthwalling. Hijikata's range of knowledge is mostly anime/manga, but will spill over into celebrities, historical figures and popular movies worldwide. I have no problem avoiding any sort of references that anyone would like to do without, so don't worry if you'd like to opt out of anything!

Possible squicks with Hijikata are: smoking, blood, telling someone to kill themselves and brief mentions of terminal illness. Also a lot of potty humor.
