While Hijikata isn't as likely to call anyone out on being an anime character as other members of the Gintama cast, he does live in a world that shares most of our media. He'd been amply exposed to it, and in line with the show's humor, will sometimes reference modern pop culture.
The form below is for any and all CR to fill out to tell me any limits on fourthwalling. Hijikata's range of knowledge is mostly anime/manga, but will spill over into celebrities, historical figures and popular movies worldwide. I have no problem avoiding any sort of references that anyone would like to do without, so don't worry if you'd like to opt out of anything!

Can they be fourthwalled? Go for it, with any of mine. Raikou will be dismayed that he's in a manga, Yoruichi will want all the spoilers about Aizen, and Nuriel will just be surprised anyone recognized her galaxy.
Awareness: Raikou and Yoruichi will just think he's a crazy otaku who doesn't like to leave his manga, Nuriel will just think him off.

Jennifer's canon is rather 'infamous' because it was banned a lot of places like right from the start and only had a rather limited release as a whole. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_Rose#Controversy So now RoR is considered EXTREMELY rare. Like the game goes for $200+ on ebay/amazon/etc. and is impossible to find anywhere.
